This continuing education program consists of a review manual, study questions and other helpful study aids and exercises. Each participant studies at their own pace. The program is designed for someone with no previous healthcare experience, professionals in healthcare who desire to increase their knowledge and/or for continuing education credits for recertification or licensure requirements.
The course was developed by a certified ECG instructor currently teaching and practiciing in the field. The topics covered in the course include the following:
Upon completion of the program, the participant may request the post-course, open-book exam. Successful completion is demonstrated by achieving a score of 80% or better. ABP, Inc. is approved as a provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences through the ASCLS P.A.C.E ® Program. Successful completion of the Basic ECG course will credit the participant with 20 contact hours. The participant is then eligible for a national certification examination in ECG. A high school diploma or equivalent is also a prerequisite for the national certification.
The registration fee for primary participation in this course is $195.00 which includes all material and shipping costs. A completed individual registration form must be accompanied by a check, money order or purchase order. Credit card registration is also available.
Additional registrants from the same institution wishing to take part in the course at the same time and share materials (Do Not Copy Course Materials) may do so by sending a separate registration form and a $50.00 administrative fee for each additional participant. Additional registrants will only receive the post-course examination and will be awarded a continuing education certificate upon successful completion of the post-course exam.
